Is now a good time to move up the ladder?
Whilst the news has been rife recently with predictions of a double-dip recession, I have seen evidence recently that suggests that for those buyers looking to make the next step up the ladder, now may well be the perfect time.
What I’m hearing from the field is that the middle of the market is proving to be surprisingly resilient. On a recent trip to our branches in the Gloucestershire area, I was advised that there is currently huge demand for 3 and 4 bedroom houses at £300,000 and above. This could indicate that, for those buyers that aspire to move up the market, now is a strong time to do just that, providing of course that this aspiration is supported by a reliable and steady income for the foreseeable future.
