Speakers

Angharad Trueman – Group Lettings Director for Andrews and President Elect of ARLA Propertymark (the UK’s largest agent membership body with 18,000 members across the UK), Angharad has a decade and a half of experience in the UK rental market managing tens of thousands of properties across the UK. Regularly featured on local radio for her insights, Angharad has been featured in local and national press coverage, was shortlisted as one of the ‘most inspirational businesswomen in the Southwest’ 2019’s list and won ‘Rising Star’ at the Negotiator Awards and conference back in 2018. An adept public speaker, Angharad regularly gives presentations and talks to letting agents and landlords across the UK, she is due to take over as President of ARLA in June 2024. Angharad will give you insights into incoming rental legislation and how to keep your property investments safe, whilst minimising void periods to ensure your rental income remains consistent. 

Richard Holland - Financial Adviser for the Finli Group. Richard joined Finli in 2022. Prior to working for FA92 Wealth Group in 2022 he has worked as a financial adviser for over 16 years initially in mortgages and protection before moving into wider financial advice. Richard is a fully qualified Level 4 Diploma Wealth Manager and has considerable experience of working for clients with a wide range of financial needs. He specialises in advising clients on retirement planning, savings and investments, inheritance tax planning, and protection for his clients and their family.

Nathan Moore – A trustee of Andrews Charitable Trust (ACT), will provide an overview of the [Establish] project, a collaborative initiative between the trust and Andrews Property Group. This project offers safe, affordable housing for young people at risk of homelessness in Bristol, complemented by essential support services from local youth organisations such as 16-25ip as they support the young people into the world of work and fully independent living.

Paul Shamplina – Paul has spent over 30 years in the legal field helping landlords with problem tenants, with previous experience working as a clerk, private investigator, debt collector and certified bailiff. In 1999, he set up Landlord Action to put this expertise to good use, specialising in fixed-fee property recovery and tenant eviction in England and Wales.  Paul believes passionately in the rights of landlords (and tenants where necessary), and campaigns tirelessly to improve standards throughout the private rented sector. Paul regularly appears in the national press, radio and television.  He has appeared in numerous productions including BBC’s Breakfast, War at the Door, Meet the Landlords, Inside Out and The One Show, ITV’s Tenants From Hell and Channel 4 News. Most recently, Paul and his team at Landlord Action have featured regularly in Channel Five’s hit series ‘Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords’ (2015 - 2023).
