A bright idea. Flexible HIPs from Andrews

From the 6th April 2008 ALL properties being marketed require a Home Information Pack. This includes New Build and ‘Off-Plan’ properties. The HIP provides useful information about the property so that a potential buyer can feel confident about their purchase.

What’s in a HIP?

Each HIP will contain two separate parts — compulsory legal documents and an Energy Performance Certificate:

  • Compulsory documents include things like a sales statement, details of searches and leasehold or freehold documentation.
  • The Energy Performance Certificate rates your property on its energy efficiency. Qualified Home Inspectors or Domestic Energy Assessors will supply this rating after viewing your property.

Our HIPs are flexible. Choose one that’s right for you.

Paid on order

You simply pay for the HIP at the start of our contract. If we don’t sell the property you’re free to take it with you.

  • This service provides you with a paper copy of the HIP and an electronic version

Payment on completion/End of agency

This option allows you to delay payment until your house is sold. If your property does not sell — you still pay for the HIP.

  • This service provides you with a paper copy of the HIP and an electronic version

Seller Supplied HIP

Andrews will accept a HIP provided by you on the condition that it has been produced by a provider who subscribes to HIP code.

  • This service is only available for electronic HIPs
  • If Andrews need to validate - a charge will be made to you
