Without sounding too smug, Andrews Property Group has triumphed at the annual Negotiator Awards which were held in London on November 1 by winning Gold for Community Champion, two silvers for best large lettings agent and estate agent and a bronze for innovation.
To come away from another industry event with a clutch of hotly contested awards is simply fantastic. This was my first awards ceremony as Chief Executive and I felt justifiably proud of the entire Andrews team.
It is, of course, particularly poignant that our Gold award was for our Community work given our heritage and the fact that we’re currently celebrating our 70th anniversary with our landmark P70 initiative.
P70 was kicked off at the start of 2016 with the aim of raising £70K to help provide homes for young care leavers. We have already bought our first house in Bristol and we hope to be moving in 3 young care leavers in the New Year. So the vision is turning into reality already.
As I said, I am very proud of the entire Andrews team. As well as working hard and delivering profits for our shareholders, they are delivering on something equally important, which is the legacy that has been handed down to us by our founder, Cecil Jackson Cole. It was Cecil’s vision that business and charity should work together to help those in need and what an astonishingly forward thinking vision that was. Seventy years on, that vision remains alive and kicking within the Andrews Property Group.
