Having just joined the business, the social purpose of the company I have found inspiring. To know that the work we do is genuinely going to a good cause is refreshing.

My top tips would be:

1. Property is a people business; find an agent with expertise that you get on with and enjoy working with. This will then form a lasting business relationship rather than just a one-off transaction.
2. Make sure you keep a watchful eye on government led incentives. The new homes industry is often a place to help people get onto the property ladder.
3. Keep a watchful eye on bank lending rates and make sure that you form a good relationship with a good broker that can assist with the best rate and can often help with “green” mortgages at better rates
