Fifth home launched as part of [establish] project
We are delighted to announce that we have completed on the purchase of our 5th [establish] property.
This home follows the success of the previous four houses that have been launched since we turned 70 years old in 2016.
Our [establish] project started in 2016 when we pledged to provide 50 houses in 50 years to support care leavers, and despite the global pandemic during 2020 and 2021 we are on schedule to provide all 50 houses within this timeframe.
This home will provide 3 young people at risk of homelessness with a stable home for up to three years.
For house number five we are partnering with Bristol based charity 1625 Independent People, a charity that we have worked closely with over the last five years. 1625ip support young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They find secure homes, teach life-skills, offer advice and support access to training and job opportunities.
Most importantly, they help young people to live happily and independently and we are so proud to be part of their support system, helping them enable more young people to live independently.
