Housing demand 22% higher than a year ago

Housing demand is currently 22% higher than this time last year.

The housing market has continued to remain buoyant despite fears it would lose moment after the first stamp duty holiday. Although following the stamp duty holiday deadline on 30th June demand did fall around 7%, it still remains higher than a year ago.

Buyers in England are still able to make a saving and benefit from the stamp duty land tax holiday until 30th September this year, depending on their circumstances.

Asking prices have now reached record highs across all regions of the UK and price growth remains strong as demand continues to outstrip supply.
