What's at the top of your list?

If you're looking to move, you are bound to have a wish list of priorities and must-haves for your new property. But how much are you willing to pay for those added extras?

When it comes to renting, probably unsurprisingly, affordability and cost were most commonly at the top of renters wish lists, followed by nice neighbours and that all important broadband speed.

However, when it comes to the added extras, most renters would in fact pay a monthly premium  - sometimes up to £50 in London, £40 outside of London, for certain features. Parking spaces take pole position, followed by a pet-friendly property. And with the added increase in flexible working patterns, quality soundproofing from internal and external noise was placed third.

When you come to look for your next property, be it renting or buying, make sure you know what you're looking for. It's always useful to have a list of must-haves but be sure to stay open-minded as you may find that once you start looking, your priorities change.
