For more than three-quarters of home movers energy efficiency and low running costs are important considerations when choosing a home.
More than 90% of new build homes are rated ‘A’ or ‘B’ for their energy efficiency and the Home Builders Federation estimate a new home owner makes an average saving of £435 on their household bills per year.
Currently 250,000 of the 29 million homes in the UK use a heat pump to heat their homes, but this is set to increase. From 2025, all new build homes must be heated via low carbon sources.
