Branch spotlight - Bath
This month, we caught up with Aaron Messenger and the team in our Bath Lettings hub.
We have been in the Bath & Somerset area since 1976. We are a team of ten that service Bath city centre, Bear Flat and out towards the Mendips with Midsomer Norton & Radstock all in our coverage.
Tell us about Bath.
Bath is a beautiful city situated close to the Cotswolds, and has been designated a World Heritage site since 1987. With stunning architecture, historic attractions such as the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and several museums and theatres, along with the modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in, Bath is a major centre for tourism. The city has great transport links with a mainline train station providing a direct link to London, large bus station, and is less than an hour from Bristol International Airport and two hours from south coast ferry ports.
Although Bath is a city, it has more of a village feel, and is easy to get around on foot, and enjoy exploring the city centre’s multitude of independent boutiques, bakeries, cafes, restaurants and bars. There is also a large shopping centre with a variety of popular brands. The city is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with the Kennet and Avon Canal and River Avon running through the city centre, and you are never far from one of the city’s multitude of parks. As well as lovely countryside walks, there is plenty for fitness enthusiasts with gyms, Yoga and Pilates studios, a well-equipped Sports Centre, and the latest attraction, the newly restored opened outdoor swimming pools, the Cleveland Pools, which are the oldest public outdoor swimming pools in the UK
And what about the team?
Aaron Messenger, Lettings Business Manager, heads up our team in Bath. Aaron has has been with Andrews for nearly eight years. Having performed a multitude of roles over that time, he is now feeling settled in Bath, and has been steering the ship for over 12 months.
Monica Bruton – New Business Partner, who has been our rock in the Andrews Bath team, having been here for over 4 years. Monica oversees the onboarding of all our new clients from market appraisal to move in.
Dan Weatherhogg – Senior Lettings Consultant, who is known as the Lord of Norton to locals has been with the company who has also 4 years and heads up the upfront team.
Maddy-Bell Kaparti & Emily Woodman – Our Two Lettings Consultants who are our ‘freshers’ in the team and both have made an impressive start, validated by their plethora of customer reviews in the first six months they’ve been with Andrews.
Steph Caswell – Property Manager, who is the queen of student properties. Steph has been with us nearly three years and there isn’t a thing she doesn’t know about the end of tenancy process.
Debs Mackenzie – Property Manager, our newest property manager who has taken to the role like a duck to water. Debs is Bathonian through and through and anything she doesn’t know about Bath isn’t worth knowing.
James Parker & Katie Barber – Property Managers, they are like Ying and Yang these two and are the dream team for management in Bath with over seven years’ experience, from Lower Bristol Road to Catherine Way they’ve got you covered.

There are a wide variety of properties available for sale and to rent, ranging from Georgian city centre apartments to large detached family homes, and is very popular with families wanting to move out of London, whilst still enjoying the easy access to the capital.
