Andrews Charitable Trust supports launch of Project Lab

Andrews Charitable Trust, the owners of Andrews, has funded over £40,000 to help launch Project Lab in partnership with the Church of England. Project Lab will be helping to build the capacity of churches to support local people with housing needs and build community.

The aim of Project Lab is to find ambitious church-based social action projects that are responding to this issue and want to expand their work across the country.

Find out more about our [establish] project

Our nation’s housing crisis is a well-known issue - there are an estimated 8.4 million people in the UK living in unaffordable, insecure and unsafe accommodation. ACT currently funds the [establish] project which works in partnership with charities to support young people in need of housing. So far we have 11 young people being supported through the four [establish] properties.

As part Project Lab, two competition winners will receive a £30,000 development grant each and will receive support from industry professionals to help them replicate their work for the benefit of communities across the UK.
